His distinguished positions include Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering since 1983, and Professor of Reliability Engineering since 1985. Notably, he held the role of Consulting Professor at the U.S. Navy and served as a visiting fellow at the National Security Analysis Department of Johns Hopkins University.
